AVOID THIS COMPANY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!!

BOA sold my mortgage to Carrington Mortgage and it has been a nightmare ever since!! AVOID this company if at all possible!! I recently had a decrease in income (beyond my control) and I contacted Carrington about my situation. I applied for a home loan modification and it was denied.. WHY???? I thought that was the purpose of a home loan modification was to help lower your mortgage payments. I have not been late with my mortgage payments until this month and because of an emergency I am unable to make my mortgage payment. Their response to me was "well I suggest you get some boxes and start packing" .. HOW HEARTLESS IS THAT?!? It seemed like they didn't even try to help me with my modification because I have a USDA loan. SHUT THEM DOWN!!
